Dr. Ravi Mehrotra

President & Founder

Dr. Ravi Mehrotra is the president, founder & chief scientist of IDeaS Revenue Solutions. Through the establishment of IDeaS in 1989, Dr. Mehrotra pioneered the “Opportunity Cost” approach that later became the industry standard for dealing with the complexities of the network or length of stay effects in revenue management.

Ravi’s research and founding involvement in IDeaS is a natural progression of his scientific background. As an assistant professor at North Carolina State University, he invented new models for parallel computing; designed and analyzed both asynchronous and randomized algorithms for distributed processing; and reviewed many proposals for key government scientific agencies. At Texas Instruments, Ravi played an integral role in the development of a real-time scheduler for a complex manufacturing company. As a scientist in the Decision and Technology Lab of Andersen Consulting, Ravi was instrumental in the development and implementation of a fleet planning, scheduling and load consolidation system for a major household goods transportation company. Additionally, Ravi co-authored and holds more than one dozen patents.

Today, Dr. Mehrotra remains an active and hands-on chief scientist at IDeaS. He continues to research increasingly sophisticated methods for dynamic pricing that optimize expected profits over longer time horizons, and is a widely-recognized leader in the field of predictive analytics, forecasting and dynamic price optimization.

Sanjay Nagalia

Chief Operating Officer

With more than 20 years of experience in product development and operations, Sanjay Nagalia rejoined IDeaS in 2012 and serves as chief operating officer. Prior to joining IDeaS, Sanjay co-founded and held the position of chief operating officer for Apex Decisions, a retail revenue management company.

Previously, he co-founded IDeaS and served as vice president of products and services from 1989 to 2001. He has provided executive leadership as head of development and operations for fast growing global organizations and all aspects of product development, implementation and support. Sanjay received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

Joseph Martino

Senior Vice President

Joseph Martino serves as senior vice president at IDeaS and is responsible for the worldwide Advisory Services, business strategy and development activities. A travel industry veteran, Joseph has held senior-level management positions at MICROS Systems, Inc., and Fidelio Software for the past decade. As vice president of operations and central systems business development for MICROS Systems in Naples, Florida, he was responsible for an enterprise software development organization in delivering state-of-the-art hospitality applications.

Previously, Joseph held the position of senior vice president and COO of Fidelio Software in Munich, Germany, where he maintained worldwide headquarters responsibility for all internal operations, product development, sales and service. Prior to working at MICROS Systems, Joseph spent 10 years with increasing marketing and sales responsibilities with Marriott Hotels & Resorts. He began his hospitality career at Cunard Ships, Hotels and Resorts.

Brian Douty

Vice President, Finance

Brian Douty joined IDeaS in 2013 as vice president of finance, bringing more than 20 years of experience directing, integrating and transforming financial operations in the technology and energy industries. In this capacity, Brian leads IDeaS’ global finance, administration and human resources functions.

Brian has previously served in executive leadership roles at LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters and Hess Corporation, in addition to a number of senior finance roles throughout his career. He brings extensive experience with the SaaS business model, international operations and financial and systems integration. Brian holds a B.S. in Finance from Penn State and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University. He is CPA, CMA and CFM certified.

Linda Hatfield

Vice President, Knowledge Management

As vice president of knowledge management for IDeaS, Linda Hatfield leads the team responsible for knowledge transfer across the organization for all solutions for both external and internal learners. Linda also provides guidance to the product management team accountable for the development and delivery of IDeaS' leading revenue management solution.

Prior to joining IDeaS in 2002, Linda was the director of product management and marketing for JobBOSS Software, a leader in enterprise management software and services for job shops and small contract manufacturers. Linda has also held various product management and development positions with Cummins Engine Company, AIG and GTE.

James Ruttley

Vice President, Client Services

James Ruttley joined IDeaS in 1997 with more than 12 years experience in the hotel industry. In the position of vice president of client services, James is responsible for all aspects of the delivery services that IDeaS provides to its clients. These include technical and forecasting support, project management, client training and client management.

Previously, James served as director of consultancy services and also as director of process development. Prior to joining IDeaS, he held a variety of senior management roles in major London hotels in the rooms division, conference and banqueting, and food and beverage areas. During his time with IDeaS, James has been involved in the design and implementation of revenue optimization solutions for virtually all of IDeaS' clients - with particular emphasis on the integration of systematic revenue optimization into the hotel culture.

Brian Sterrett

Vice President, Global Sales

Brian Sterrett brings a successful operational track record as a general manager expanding sales in global markets to IDeaS. He joined IDeaS from iMANY, a revenue management software company, where he leveraged strategic alliances to grow new business for the company.

Prior to iMANY, Mr. Sterrett served as vice president of worldwide channel sales for Lawson Software, following up on his consulting and direct sales management with Accenture, Oracle, and SPSS, an IBM Company.

Maggie Debner

Vice President of Human Resources

Maggie Debner has over 25 years of human resource experience, spanning a number of industries including business solutions, technology and aerospace. In her career, Maggie creates strategies that promote high-performance team environments and drive business results by encouraging a leading-edge work environment. She has held executive positions at Taylor-Wharton Cryogenics LLC, Cargill, Thomson Reuters and a variety of leadership roles at Northwest Airlines.

As Vice President of Human Resources, Maggie is responsible for driving strategies that promote organization growth and increase capacity through the design and implementation of progressive human resource practices. She received her undergraduate degree in business and communications from St. Cloud State University and a Master’s degree in human resources from the University of St. Thomas. Maggie holds her Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute.

Fabian Specht

Managing Director, Europe Middle East Africa

As managing director of IDeaS Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) territory, Fabian Specht is responsible for IDeaS’ regional offices located in London and Dusseldorf, as well as all sales and operations in the region.

Prior to joining IDeaS in 1999, Fabian was the director of sales for hotel systems, EMEA for Micros Fidelio Software GMBH. Previous to starting his experience in the hotel technology sector, he worked for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts across multiple properties in many different countries and regions.

Jane Stampe

Managing Director, Americas

As IDeaS’ managing director for Americas, Jane Stampe is responsible for all sales initiatives in the Americas region. She joined IDeaS from 741 Studios, a private IT consulting firm, where she developed analytical projects to optimize profitability of revenue channels.

Jane has 25 years of leadership experience developing strategies and building sales teams for technology companies – startups, early-stage, medium and large – and private equity. An accomplished corporate leader, her vision and expertise in business performance have driven notable enterprise growth in the technology sector. Jane’s primary focus is delivering new customers in a consultative, solution-oriented fashion.

Michael Yin

Managing Director, China

As IDeaS' managing director for China, Michael Yin is responsible for leading the sales team of IDeaS in Greater China, developing and executing the overall growth strategy of the company to support its business vision for this region. Since joining IDeaS, Michael has forged strategic partnerships with key industrial organizations and responded creatively to the specific needs of the local Chinese market. In 2012, he was commended as the IDeaS Global New Market Trailblazer as the result of doing a tremendous job in building IDeaS' business portfolio and enhancing IDeaS' presence in China. Michael is a travel industry veteran, with more than 15 years of experience in strategic marketing and sales.

Prior to IDeaS, he held senior-level management positions not just in hospitality solution providers such as Luopan & MICROS Systems, but OTA companies like Ctrip & Supranational Hotels as well. Michael is a graduate of the Peking University with a bachelor degree in arts. He obtained an executive MBA from the Guanghua School of Management of the Peking University (in association with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.)

Rachel Grier

Managing Director, Asia Pacific

As IDeaS’ managing director for Asia Pacific, Rachel Grier is responsible for growing IDeaS' Asia business and enhancing the company’s leading brand reputation in the dynamic Asia hospitality sector. Rachel possesses a unique combination of successful leadership experiences in enterprise software and hospitality sales and marketing. With more than two decades of experience, she has a record of growing businesses in the regional hospitality and travel sectors across a range of established and emerging markets in Asia, Pacific and the Middle East. She developed her travel industry sales and marketing skills across a range of travel technology and hospitality industry brands.

Most recently, she was the senior vice president of sales, Asia Pacific and the Middle East for hotel central reservations leader Pegasus Solutions. Rachel previously worked as the area director of sales and marketing for the InterContinental Hotel Group in Japan, where she oversaw a major restructure and was responsible for sales, marketing and revenue results. She also held senior leadership roles within organizations such as Per Aquum Resorts, Spas, and Residences, Rendezvous Hotels International and FCm Travel Solutions (Flight Centre).

K.S. Prashant

Managing Director, India

As IDeaS managing director for India, K.S. Prashant is responsible for the IDeaS regional offices located in Pune and its operations within the region. Prashant brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic business development, service delivery and global leadership to the executive team.

Prior to joining IDeaS, Prashant held senior-level management positions with KPIT Technologies and Parametric Technology Corporation, and was co-founder at Auric System Integrators. Prashant received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the College of Engineering in Pune, followed by a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah.
