George Floyd

Our Eyes and Ears Are Open

By , President, Co-Founder & Chief Scientist

From our community to yours, a letter from Minneapolis.

Dear IDeaS family, clients, partners and colleagues,

As I write to you from our global headquarters in Minneapolis, my heart is shattered by the tragic death of Mr. George Floyd and the long list of other black lives lost before him. Processing the events that took place in our community, and around the globe over the last week, has rightfully exposed, again, the systemic racism, stark inequality and oppression that exists in our society.

As a global company, it is our responsibility to take action to end this injustice and inequality through our daily behaviors. We will use this moment to stand and speak within and outside of IDeaS to advocate for inclusion and equality until this world’s actions match our fundamental belief—that we are all equal.

As we move forward in the coming weeks, months and years, we have to look inside ourselves and remind others that in order for real progress to be made, we must show empathy for all people, learn from our peers and focus on daily actions of inclusion until it becomes part of our new nature.

Actions speak louder than words. There is still much work to be done. I look forward to connecting with many of you as our IDeaS family continues to drive positive change on these critical issues forward.

Sincerely,

Ravi Mehrotra
