At IDeaS, we’re committed to bringing innovative, world-class revenue management solutions to our clients. This blog series aims to give you a quick look at what we’ve been cooking up:
Stay informed with smarter notifications and alerts, streamline rate shopping setup, retroactively ignore competitor pricing, improve pricing for diverse room classes, and gain clearer occupancy insights with the latest G3 RMS Q3 2025 updates!
Improved Information Manager Experience
Managing alerts and system updates shouldn’t slow you down. The latest enhancements to Information Manager make it easier than ever to understand what’s happening inside G3 RMS, so you can respond faster, reduce uncertainty, and keep pricing decisions on track. Critical or actionable announcements now display automatically after sign-in, ensuring you never miss a system change or automated action that may impact performance. You can close them without opting out, and the bullhorn icon provides a real-time visual status: unread, read, or no current announcements.
Information Manager also now includes a Creation Date column and filter, making it easier to track when Alerts, Exceptions, and Notifications were first triggered, even after resolution. This enhancement – a popular suggestion from our users – gives teams greater transparency into system behavior, auditability of changes, and confidence in historical decision-making.

Finally, we also introduced several new alerts and notifications designed to help you stay ahead of system changes that directly impact pricing, data quality, and forecast accuracy. These additions strengthen visibility across your RMS workflow, ensuring you always know what changed, when it changed, and why it matters.
New Alerts, Exceptions, and Notifications
- Notification: Automated Overbooking Reduction – Get notified when a reduction starts, stops, changes, or drops to zero
- Alert: Build Type Changed to Standard from Hot Start – Letting you know when your property has sufficient historical data
- Alert: Inactive Room Type – Identifies the room types previously deactivated with the Replace action
- Alert: Wash Overrides for Individual Groups – Two alerts inform you when Wash forecasts and overrides for individual groups are disabled or enabled
These improvements strengthen the overall G3 RMS user experience by making critical information easier to find, understand, and act on.
Rate Shopping Schedule – Smarter Setup
We’ve improved the Rate Shopping Schedule tab for a quicker, easier setup with clearer labels and rules that prevent errors. This ensures you configure rate shopping efficiently and accurately, saving you time and reducing mistakes.

Retroactive Ignore Competitor for Past Dates
You can now ignore a competitor’s prices for up to 180 days in the past, helping you correct historical anomalies that may skew pricing decisions and performance analysis. Whether a competitor experienced a data outage, posted an unusual rate spike, or had misloaded inventory, you can now clean up your historical competitive set quickly and confidently. This improves pricing accuracy, strengthens forecasting inputs, and ensures you’re viewing true market behavior versus outliers.

Improved Pricing for Room Classes with Large ADR Variances
Room Classes containing room types with widely varying ADRs can negatively impact pricing decisions. This enhancement reduces that impact, ensuring more accurate pricing.
By reducing the impact of extreme ADR variances, G3 RMS can now generate more precise, market-aligned price decisions for Room Classes with diverse room types. This leads to cleaner inputs, more stable price optimization, and a more accurate reflection of your property’s true value mix.
Manage Pricing Calendar View – On Books Percentage Filter
Understanding how full you are, and how quickly you’re filling, is essential to shaping the right pricing strategy. With this update, you can now view Occupancy On Books Percentage directly in the Pricing Calendar at both the property and Room Class levels.
This visibility makes it easier to compare pacing across inventory, identify compression patterns earlier, and adjust pricing with greater confidence. Instead of scanning multiple screens, you get a single, consistent view of occupancy as a percentage of total capacity, supporting faster, more informed revenue decisions.
Final Thoughts
These updates reflect IDeaS’ commitment to listening to user feedback and delivering practical, impactful improvements. Whether you’re focused on how to more efficiently manage your RMS, or best practices for managing data inputs, Q3 2025 brings meaningful enhancements to every aspect of G3 RMS.
